PMC was chosen to provide the sound system for the Music Week Awards after party, held at Tape London last night. Music Week’s Awards is a big deal in the biz, with awards presented to record labels, publishing, live, retail, A&R, radio, marketing and even PR. The official after show party is being staged in London’s currently most exalted venue, Tape London. Tape prides itself on offering an “elegant party experience” for popular musical artistes including Will.I.Am, Justin Bieber, Mick Jagger, Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding. For this event, the partners of Tape London wanted a decent sound system and so approached PMC to request its BB5 XBD Active monitors. These were augmented with two extra XBD cabinets to provide a bit more girth in the bass.

Antony Adel, managing partner at Tape, says of the PMC system, “The fantastic reception that the playback received last night, from the guests and organisers, is testament to the incredible sound quality the PMC speakers provided and we are very pleased to have been able to work with the company to put this system together.”

Peter Thomas, owner and managing director of PMC, adds his thoughts, “The Music Week Awards have long been respected for the recognition they give to all the people in the music industry who make it happen, often behind the scenes and without the high profiles of the artists. They really understand the importance of using the best speakers and so it was our pleasure and privilege to be asked to provide the ultimate in playback systems for the party and we would like to thank the team at Tape London for choosing PMC.”
