The first quarter of 2023 sees the arrival of a new version of one of Magico’s most acclaimed speakers, the S3. A key model in the company’s mid-level S Series, which sits between the A Series and M Series, the new S3 replaces the existing S3 MkII. But while it shares the S3 name, and the same position within Magico’s range, every element of the new 2023 model has been revised and re-engineered using techniques and technologies developed for the flagship M9.
The knowledge distilled and technological advances gained in the M9 development have been applied to the new S3. With new state-of-the-art R&D capabilities, Magico set out to redesign the S3 MkII loudspeaker to achieve audible improvements in every parameter. With its new enclosure, drivers and coupling system, the entirely re-engineered 2023 S3 model accomplishes far more than the initial design brief.
The new 2023 edition of the Magico S3 begins shipping in Q1 2023. Two different levels of finish are available – M-Cast, which is a textured powder coat finish, and M-Coat, which is a premium, high-gloss paint finish. M-Cast colour options include black, pewter, silver and bronze. M-Coat colour options include black, titanium, pearl white, orange, blue and candy red. UK RRPs for M-Cast and M-Coat finish options are £56,998 and £66,000 per pair respectively.
