Chinese consumer electronics company GoerTek Inc has bought majority shares in Danish loudspeaker company Dynaudio. The 35 year old company will retain founder and minority shareholder Wilfried Ehrenholz (above) who is naturally pleased that his legacy will be continued. He commented ”GoerTek is the ideal partner to guide Dynaudio into a prospering future. Its founder, Bryan Jiang, is an  ambitious entrepreneur like myself and has an excellent understanding of Dynaudio´s potential and our position as a premium brand. By combining Dynaudio´s and GoerTek’s know-how, we will be able to develop some very exciting products for our customers in the future.”

CEO Lars Prisak considers the move to be “a unique opportunity for Dynaudio. We have developed and produced the world’s best speakers for many years and based on our strong DNA and culture I look forward to developing and launching Dynaudio version 2.0”. Goertek’s CEO Bryan Jiang plans to “accelerate the growth of the company and bring customers lots of exciting innovations in the near future.”

Part of the brand’s appeal undoubtedly lies in the advances it has made with wireless technology, found in the Xeo range of speakers. It is also about to launch “the most powerful and precise speaker [range] ever made, which is based completely on a digital platform” called Focus XD (below) and due in November. The fact that it also has professional audio and automotive products must have also helped clinch the deal.
