Record Store Day vinyl frenzy
Thursday, April 10, 2014

Saturday 19th April is vinyl frenzy day across the country and beyond. A whole slew of artists young and old are releasing material on vinyl to keep your turntable spinning. A full list of releases can be found here, it includes releases from Aerosmith, Jethro Tull, Bob Dylan’s début album Not Now, Bozzio, Levin & Stevens (surely not Shakin’!), Springsteen 10inch, Captain Beefheart’s Son of Dustsucker, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Curved Air and a  10inch of Davy Graham and Bert Jansch live in Edinburgh, not to mention Made in Japan (Deep Purple) on two 7inches! Steely Dan are not present for some reason but there is a 7inch of Don’t Eat the Yellow Snow by Frank Zappa. These are just the tip of a remarkably large iceberg, there are of course thousands more titles to check out.

This stuff will inevitably be online but check out your local record shop because a lot of them are having impromptu events to celebrate the day.
